“My First Week at Sea with eFoil Riders”

Fliteboard Odyssey: An unforgetable adventure

Hi guys, my name is Tamara.

I just recently joined eFoil Riders, and I probably had the craziest first week at a company that anyone could imagine.

This trip was so special that I wanted to share a bit of my travel diary here with you. I have been traveling all over the world before. I even worked as a flight attendant and lived in Australia for five years, but this adventure was something completely new. It moved something in me, and I think it deserves a story.

When I first arrived at the eFoil Riders headquarters in Munich, the team was already in full preparation mode for what they called The Odyssey.

I had no idea what that meant, but it sounded big. What I didn’t expect was to see two full trucks being loaded with gear. There were eFoils everywhere, wings, batteries, helmets, spare parts, even boxes with spare boxes.

I remember standing there, completely confused, wondering what kind of madness I had just joined. Someone just smiled and said, “Don’t worry, you’ll understand when we get there.”

A few days later, when I saw everything set up on the boats, I finally did.

We arrived in Greece, and there they were: two massive catamarans waiting for us at the marina. They were not normal boats. They were huge, luxurious, and so cozy. The cabins had private bathrooms, real beds, and wide decks that opened to the sea. It was like a floating hotel, but better, because there was no front desk and no checkout time. And on those decks, lined up like a small army, were more than ten Fliteboards ready for what would become one of the most beautiful and crazy weeks of my life.

Everything was prepared perfectly.

The captain, Andreas, greeted me with a warm smile that instantly made me feel safe. We Even hat a private Chef Nikos, who cooked us an incredible Greek-feast every Day.

The team had thought of every detail. Drinks were cold, towels folded, and every time I looked around, someone was checking that the boards were charged and ready. It was clear that this was not their first time doing something like this.

We set sail shortly after arriving, and that’s when it really started to feel real.

The sea stretched out endlessly, and the air was soft and salty. Around me were people from all over the world. There were riders from Germany, the UK, Thailand, Uruguay, and even Australia.

Everyone had a different story and we all fit together so well. Most of them were entrepreneurs or creative people, and I Felt an incredible connection with every single one of them right from the start.

Living on the water was something I had only done once before.

I was a bit nervous about being so close to everyone all the time as I personally really value personal space, but these boats were huge. You could always find a quiet place to read or just sit and stare at the horizon. It felt like living in a dream, somewhere between freedom and family.

The nights were filled with laughter, conversations, music and Greek wine. There was always something happening.

What really stood out to me was how smooth everything ran. I never saw a guest carrying an eFoil or struggling with equipment. The team was everywhere, always one step ahead. If someone wanted to ride, their board was already in the water. If someone wanted to rest, there was already a towel and an Iced coffee prepared by Nicos already waiting. It felt effortless and I could see how much attention and care was behind it all.

Every single person on the team worked with full heart, and it showed.

Every day brought something unexpected. One morning we woke up in the Most beautiful Little Greek Town. Another day we stopped at a giant cave, more than 40 meters high. When we turned off the engines, there was only silence, and it felt like being in the good / scenic Part of the movie Lost haha.

Before this trip, I had never tried eFoiling. I had seen videos and always wanted to do it. The first teaching Sessions I spent Raphael, who taught me everything with so much patience.

I fell into the water about a hundred times, but it was so much fun and I was so eager to learn that I didn't care. On the third ride the group took me out with them and I was so proud as I was fully flying for the first time during Sunset on our way to a Hidden Cave it was so magical I'll never forget this feeling.

Flying over the sea in a group of riders, moving together without sound, is honestly one of the most beautiful feelings I’ve ever experienced.

The food was another huge highlight. Nikos cooked local Greek dishes every day, fresh, nourishing and full of flavor. Sometimes we also took the small boat to nearby tavernas or walked from the harbour. Those nights were the best. The tables were full of food, wine, laughter, and stories. It didn’t feel like a company trip. It felt like a group of friends who just happened to share the same love for eFoiling and the sea.

We also had a few crazy nights. One evening we played games themed around Odysseus, since that was the idea behind our adventure.

The joke was that Odysseus lost his whole crew before returning home, so we made a pact to bring everyone back. And we did. We actually returned with exactly the same number of people that we left with, which considering the ouzo, was impressive haha.

By the last day, I didn’t want to leave. I had learned how to eFoil, but more importantly, I had learned something about this company and the people behind it. They don’t just organize e-foil adventures. They create experiences that connect people, make them laugh, challenge them, and remind them that life is about more than schedules and routines.

When we finally reached the marina again, I looked at the boats, the boards, the tired but happy faces, and I felt grateful.

I came on this trip not knowing anyone but 2 people from the Team and not even knowing how to eFoil, and I left with new friends, new skills, and a very full heart.

This journey changed me in ways I didn’t expect. It was more than an e-foil trip. It was about people, about trust, and about feeling alive in a completely new way.

If you ever get the chance to join an eFoil Riders adventure, do it. It’s something you will never forget.

Tamara,
Your very new marketing manager, who now also knows how to eFoil really well after this trip :)
