eFoiling Riding and Courses at Starnberger See. The Dream, The Rules, and Where to Actually Ride

Ah, lovely Starnberger See.

That perfect blend of Bavarian charm and a little bit of Italian dolce vita in summer. We’ve all been there  toes in the sand, Aperol in hand, watching the sun set over the water at Seeshaupt or another one of those picture perfect lakeside spots. And, let’s be honest, most of us have had the same thought:

“Wouldn’t it be amazing to just grab an eFoil and glide into that sunset?”
🤔🏄🥰

Well… here’s where we need to be the responsible adults in the room. the German "Regeln für Wassersport at Starnberger See" are pretty clear and while we love this lake as much as you do, eFoiling at Starnberger See isn’t something you can just do whenever you feel like it. An allowance like a German "eFoil Genehmigung Starnberger See" has not been granted yet and so fat no institution is planning on granting one.

But of course we're working on updating the Bavarian regulations with all the responsible instutions for eFoils with our NGO and association.

But trust us: if you think it’s allowed or "someone told me...", we highly recommend reading some background about “other instructors” who thought the same.

Spoiler: it rarely ends with a sunset cruise.
